Opening of a Bosch service center in Bayreuth
Erwin Knoll laid the foundation for the success of today’s Knoll group by establishing a Bosch service center in Bayreuth in the 1930s.
Creation of the Hydraulics department
Inclusion and extension of the Hydraulics department at the Bayreuth location. In the same year we became the official Bosch-Hydraulik sales partner for Central and Upper Franconia, and since 1984 also for Lower Franconia.
Production of the first wiring diagrams using CAD software
We were always inspired by technology. When many were still designing manually, we produced the first wiring diagrams with CAD software at the beginning of the 1990s. What was a real door opener at the time is now a requirement.
New location in Chemnitz
Establishment of a new location with the additional sales areas of Saxony and Thuringia. Another important milestone on the way to a business group.
Arrival of Manfred Knoll
In 1960, his son, Manfred Knoll, entered the company after completing his education. Even after the early death of the company founder in 1972, he continued to lead the company successfully as sole owner and CEO.
Founding of today’s Knoll Hydraulik GmbH & Co. KG.
As a future-oriented business owner, Manfred Knoll spun off the hydraulics area from the rest of the wholesale company in 1998. One year later, Knoll Hydraulik GmbH & Co. KG resulted.
A further step for quality assurance: ISO 9001 certification
Not yet normal at the time, the certification of our production area followed soon after in 2001. A fundamental basis for our current quality management system and at the same time a clear promise of quality for our customers.
Bosch Rexroth sales partner for industrial hydraulics
After the fusion of Robert Bosch GmbH and Mannesmann Rexroth AG, the contracts with Bosch Rexroth were renegotiated throughout Germany. In the process, our contracts as one of the few system partners were extended. As a result of the new allocation of sales areas, we get the decision for Upper Franconia and Lower Franconia.
The entry into 3D planning
As one of the first hydraulics companies, we started in the wide range of applications for 3D planning with the software of our partner, SolidWorks.
Entry into automation technology
With the move from Bayreuth to Bindlach, we began building up the Electrical Engineering and Automation Technology department. As a result, we aligned ourselves actively to the needs of the market and placed systems thinking around our hydraulics services at the forefront.
Inclusion of MHS Hydraulik Systeme GmbH
With the integration of MHS from Unterschleißheim into Knoll Hydraulik, the sales areas of Munich and Upper Bavaria were built up.
Extension of our sales areas with Central Franconia
With immediate effect, we also support our Central Franconia customers in postal code areas 90 and 91 as a strong sales partner.
Integration of Eurofluid
Takeover of the Austrian hydraulics specialist, Eurofluid Hydraulik GmbH by Knoll and with it the entry into hydraulics and automation in Austria.
