Hydraulic oil cooler / hydraulic cooler

Hydraulic oil coolers are heat exchangers, which temper various media with air or a cooling medium (e.g. water). In the case of an oil-air cooler, the medium flows through a cooling register. An electrically driven fan generates the cooling air flow in it. In contrast, oil-water coolers have two separate circuits: one for the cooling medium and one for the medium to be cooled. The heat transfer heats the cooling medium and cools down the medium to be cooled accordingly. In addition to the required cooling capacity, a low flow resistance and the required service life are among the most important criteria when selecting hydraulic oil coolers. Hydraulic coolers can be used universally in almost all industries because of their high media resistance and compact design.

Plate heat exchanger

Plate heat exchangers belong to the oil cooler group. Their main task is to separate the oil and water circuits by means of a soldered or screwed plate system. The cooling capacity can also be actively influenced in retrospect, depending on the number and size of the individual plates. Plate heat exchangers are used in all applications where sufficient cooling medium or water is available. Because of their compact design, user-friendly installation and pressure resistance, heat exchangers are suitable for many industrial and mobile hydraulic applications. The plate heat exchangers are extremely efficient despite the high pressure losses on the shell-side and water-side because of the low water consumption and currentless operation.

Tube bundle heat exchanger

Tube bundle heat exchangers are oil-water coolers which consist of a hollow cylinder and many small tubes inside, the so-called tube bundle. Two liquids separated by the hollow cylinder and the tube bundle can exchange heat between the two media at a temperature difference without any mixing. The efficiency of a tube bundle heat exchanger depends strongly on the volume flow and temperature difference of the two liquids. A distinction is made between safety heat exchangers and hybrid heat exchangers, which are used in a wide variety of safety technology applications, in plant construction or in water protection areas. The particular advantage of a tube bundle heat exchanger is the high power density as well as the currentless and therefore energy-efficient operation.

Electric flow heaters

Electric flow heaters

Electric flow heaters or flow heaters are flow-through cavities which are equipped with an electric screw-in heating element or heating bundle. During the flow, the medium is heated directly. Electronic flow heaters are used particularly in machine and plant construction because of their simple design and user-friendly operation. In this case, a good electric flow heater must have a low flow resistance, be durable and energy-efficient and guarantee the corresponding heating performance.  

  • Heating capacity: up to 90 kW
  • Maximum operating pressure 16 bar
  • Thermostat setting range: 0 °C – 90 °C (without EDH 500).
  • Versions: for different voltages, surface loads and in different housing and heating rod materials
