Customized control blocks and control plates 

Our tested hydraulic control blocks or system control blocks provide an extremely compact control possibility, especially for larger nominal diameters, with a minimum of sealing points. Their elaborate design allows small installation dimensions and facilitates the installation of the piping. The individual block variants are primarily used in injection molding machines, metal forming (e.g. in hydraulic presses, on pumps or storage tanks), mobile work equipment or safety applications. The requirements for reliability, tightness and functionality are correspondingly high. The most common control block types for hydraulics include system control blocks, accumulator shut-off blocks, pump control blocks and press safety blocks. 

  • Design: Monoblock, intermediate plate or control plate, with longitudinal linking or vertical linking 
  • Versions: Steel for pressures up to 2,000 bar, cast iron for pressures up to 400 bar or aluminum for pressures up to 250 bar, various actuation types, levers and auxiliary valves
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 2,000 bar

The suitable connection plate for your hydraulics.

Connection plates are distributors which, in contrast to pipeline installation, require considerably less installation space. Their main task is to integrate the hydraulic valves into the system flexibly and to distribute the hydraulic fluid efficiently. 
Every connection plate and base plate in our selection meets the high requirements for processing, installation space, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. We offer a versatile, highly available range of plates for all required pressure ranges, volume flows, media and connection arrangements. Depending on the number of valve positions and your thread specifications, the distributor plates are drilled and assembled individually. Suitable pipe diameters and flow-optimized drilled channels minimize flow and pressure losses in the connection plates.

  • Guided sub-types: Series connection plates, intermediate plates and measuring intermediate plates

Structure and function

Maximum functionality with minimum installation space.

Hydraulic control blocks and connection plates are as versatile as their applications. They distribute, control, regulate and limit hydraulic energy in the form of pressure or volume flows. The blocks consist of a connection plate, including the entire valve technology and sensor technology for targeted control of the hydraulic system. Various hydraulic valves or other functional components are screwed or flange-mounted into the system control block. Depending on the application, different designs or valve combinations are recommended:

  • The monoblock design with a particularly strong cast body, designed for high operating pressures and minimal installation space.
  • The sandwich construction or intermediate plate construction in which the flangeable inlet, intermediate and end plates are combined modularly to form a valve block.
  • Longitudinal and vertical linking, in which the hydraulic valves are flanged either vertically or above one another on a connection block. This valve linkage is used particularly in mobile or stationary industrial applications. 

Thanks to their space-saving design, control blocks can also be flexibly used and positioned in mobile and narrow hydraulic systems. Another significant advantage is the optimized flow path, which ensures that your system is economical and energy-efficient.

When selecting and using your control block, it is important to pay attention to the following:

Because the control blocks in hydraulics are usually customized and application-specific, it is important to know the operating sequence of the machine beforehand. Afterwards, corrections are practically impossible. Often the entire control block has to be replaced. 
It is not only for reasons of machine safety that the prevailing conditions and external influences must be taken into account when selecting hydraulic control blocks. Whether temperature fluctuations in mobile hydraulics, different media requirements or loads, each control block must be optimally designed for the application. To prevent the contamination of the system and thus possible signs of wear such as material removal or oxidation, we recommend that the quality of your hydraulic medium is checked in regular fluid analyses.
