Hydraulic valves control the inlet, outlet and flow of the hydraulic fluid. The different valve types are used in almost all stationary and mobile hydraulic systems. A good hydraulic valve must have a long service life on the one hand, and on the other hand meet all requirements for sealing, switching speed and valve function. Our customers appreciate the availability and quality of our brand valves, as they are economical and perform consistently throughout their service life. In addition, we only recommend components that comply with the required standards and are robustly designed for external conditions.
Hydraulic valves – greater safety, efficiency and control functions.
Your experienced supplier for high-quality pressure valves, shut-off valves, way valves and flow valves by brand manufacturers.
Pressure valves
A pressure valve within the hydraulic unit regulates or limits the system pressure of a unit. In principle, we differentiate between pressure relief valves or overpressure valves, pressure reducing valves or pressure control valves, load holding valves or accumulator loading valves. They absorb the pressure and switch or regulate according to the desired pressure value. Pressure valves are especially suitable for protecting the system against pressure peaks, for protecting the consumer against overpressure and for setting different pressures at several consumers of a system. Their simple, robust construction makes them insensitive to external conditions. Make sure that pressure valves have different leakage rates depending on their design.
- Maximum operating pressure P max. 600 bar
- Volume flow Q max. 550 l/min
- Design as single valve for pipe connections, screw-in valve or single plate mounting valve
Shut-off valves
A shut-off valve, check valve or ball valve preferably blocks the volume flow in one direction and allows free flow in the opposite direction. This prevents oil reflux, for example, or allows leakage-free blocking of consumer channels, or provides reliable pressure protection for memory circuits and cooling systems. Check valves in the tank line prevent no-load operation or pressure shocks or are used as bypass valves. In contrast to other valve types, check valves do not require any mechanical or electrical operation.
- Maximum operating pressure P max: 700 bar
- Maximum volume flow Q max: 500 l/min
- Version for unblockable return valve, for block installation, plate installation or line installation
- Miscellaneous connection options
Way valves
Way valves are components that block, open and change flow paths in hydraulic units. The direction of the volume flow and the path length of the stroke are controlled. They are identified by the number of useful connections and shift positions (e.g. 2/2- or 4/3-way valves). The most important types include directional spool valves and directional seat valves, which differ mainly in their leak-free design. If necessary, way valves with stroke monitoring can also be provided.
- Maximum operating pressure P max: 700 bar
- Maximum volume flow Q max: 450 l/min
- Designed in black-and-white or proportional valve, as sectional way valve in sandwich or monoblock design, for plate mounting or pipeline installation
Flow valves
Flow valves when used in combination with other components, such as pressure valves, affect the velocity of movement of consumers through cross-sectional changes, i.e. reduction or expansion of the liquid flow at the throttling point. Flow dividers such as flow control valves, throttle valves or throttle check valves are particularly suitable if the volume flow is to be divided or influenced in a controlled manner.
- Maximum operating pressure P max: 700 bar
- Maximum volume flow Q max: 450 l/min
- Version as mechanically or electro-proportionally adjustable flow valve, for installation on an intermediate plate or in a pipeline
- For almost every common nominal size
Genuine control artists in a complex environment.
Hydraulic valves are offered in various designs: as plate construction, pipeline construction, block installation (cartridge) or intermediate plate. All valve types are available as adjustable valves or as black and white valves. The housing is usually made of cast steel to economically produce flow channels. Hydraulic valves are designed to be pressure-stable. Valve housings of aluminum are particularly economical to manufacture and are suitable for low to medium pressure ranges. The slider is usually made of wear-resistant case-hardened steel.
A hydraulic valve divides, regulates and directs the incoming volume flow to the desired valve outlet. The actuation can be mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or in any combination. While direct operated valves do not have a minimum operating pressure and already operate at 0 bar, pilot operated valves use the pressure of the medium to open and close. Hydraulic valves provide a multitude of safety functions and are the prerequisite for reliable control functions that would not be possible without functioning valve technology. Worn or defective hydraulic valves usually result in increased leakage, which affects the overall efficiency of the hydraulic system. Depending on the manufacturer, hydraulic valves withstand a certain number of minimum cycles of operation. The availability requirements of the machine specify whether premature valve replacement is advisable.
What to look out for when choosing your hydraulic valve.
Important parameters for valve selection are, in addition to the corresponding medium, the pressure and the quantity or maximum flow rate.
According to the medium and temperature conditions, valves with FKM (Viton) or NBR seals can be used. The manufacturer specifies the required purity classes for each hydraulic valve. This is based on the principle that the more complex the function, the purer the oil must be.
Especially in times of industry 4.0, valves should be designed intelligently and integrated seamlessly into different automation processes via open standards.
