Hydraulic sensors – customized, reliable and precise.

Hydrauliksensoren

Your experienced supplier for high-quality pressure sensors, level sensors, flow sensors, temperature sensors and contamination sensors.

Hydraulic sensors are measuring devices that register hydraulic process variables such as pressure, flow rate, filling level, temperature or contamination in real time and then transmit these into a usable electrical signal. As a result, they assume a central function in the regulation, control and monitoring of a hydraulic system.

As an independent component distributor, we offer a wide range of pressure- and shock-resistant hydraulic sensors with all the required accuracies, voltage ranges and designs. These long-life hydraulic sensors are perfectly adapted to your application and environmental conditions.

Pressure sensors

Electronic pressure sensors or pressure transmitters record and monitor the pressure in hydraulic systems. In doing so, the pressure of a liquid medium is converted into a digital or analogue signal, which in turn is transmitted to the control or evaluation electronics. The pressure sensors therefore contribute significantly to precisely controlling the activity of the hydraulic pump. Our pressure sensors and pressure switches are used in all fluid technology, process technology and for measuring forces in hydraulic cylinders. Their robust design (usually thin film onto steel, optionally welded) enables them to withstand even short overloads or high system pressures without any problems. All guided pressure sensors comply with the standard specifications for shock, vibration and pressure resistance and are supplied in various accuracies, pressure damping peaks and media-specific versions.

  • Measuring ranges:  25 mbar to 15,000 bar
  • Temperature ranges: from -25 °C to +200 °C
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 15,000 bar
  • Sensor types: Electronic pressure transmitters, miniature pressure transmitters, electrical or mechanical pressure switches and multiple pressure switches

Fill level sensors

Fill level sensors or level sensors measure the fill level and limit value in a tank or container – optionally contact-free (ultrasonic-based), via a float (with medium contact) or through the tank wall. Non-contact fill level sensors are media-independent, practically wear-free, highly precise and are used for continuous fill level measurement. By contrast, float solutions are characterized by their robust, cost-effective design and user-friendly operation. Our fill level and limit level sensors are ideal for virtually all industrial and process fluids, medium temperatures and connection options.

  • Temperature ranges: from -196 °C to +450 °C
  • Sensor types: Ultrasonic sensors, level probes, rod sensors, limit sensors, level and fill level switches, float switches
  • Measuring principle: capacitive, magnetostrictive or ultrasonic-based or with radar measuring technology

Flow sensors

Flow switches and flow sensors, often also referred to as current sensors, measure the flow and volume of hydraulic fluid. The “current monitors” are distinguished with regard to the respective measuring principle, e.g. in screw spindle or gear flow meters. Powerful electronic evaluation system provides precise monitoring and control of the processed signals. Our flow sensors are particularly suitable for a wide range of applications in process engineering, machine and plant construction, and even for hygiene-sensitive applications, aggressive media or explosion-proof areas (ATEX components).

  • Flow rate (LPM): up to 450,000 l/min
  • Temperature ranges: from -40 °C to +180 °C
  • Measuring principle: Screw spindle, gear wheel, Coriolis, float, differential pressure, ultrasound
Temperatursensoren

Temperature sensors

Temperature sensors, temperature detectors and temperature switches convert the temperature of liquid media into a digital or analog electrical signal. The simple design allows reliable temperature measurement and good signal evaluation. Because of their stability and robust stainless steel construction, temperature sensors can also be used in applications with extreme process temperatures that are stable in the long term, e.g. in fluid technology industrial applications or refrigeration technology. The temperature detector can be equipped with different detector components and electrical connections according to customer requirements. Installation is carried out either directly in the tank or in the pressure line.

  • Temperature ranges: from -200 °C to +180 °C
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 500 bar
  • Measuring principle: Resistance thermometers (e.g. PT100, PT1000), thermoelements (e.g. PTC, NTC)

Contamination sensors

Contamination sensors and particle sensors measure the particles or contamination (solid contamination) in the liquid hydraulic medium. Contamination sensors are mainly used in fluid analysis or condition monitoring. With predictive maintenance, possible component failures can be detected early, the operational availability of your hydraulic system increases, and operating costs or consequential damage can be reduced.

  • Particle sizes: >200 µm
  • Degree of saturation:  0 to 100%
  • Temperature ranges: from -25 °C to +100 °C
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 20 bar
  • Measurement volume flow: 10 ml/min to 200 l/min
  • Viscosity range 1 to 1,000 mm²/s
Structure and function

Reliable measurement data for more plant efficiency and safety.

Hydraulic sensors are composed of a transducer, the wall electronics and the output unit, e.g. an electrical interface or display. The measuring sensors make sure that the hydraulic control unit only operates when necessary. Hydraulic sensors increase the energy efficiency and the efficiency of the plant while at the same time ensuring an optimal and safe process flow and increasing the availability of your plant.

Because of their compact design, hydraulic sensors can be installed in a flexible manner at the position where the desired measurement and monitoring task must be performed. The sensor housing is usually made of plastic, the measuring cell of media-resistant stainless steel.

When selecting and using hydraulic sensors, it is important to pay attention to the following.

Some important criteria must be observed when selecting your hydraulic sensor, depending on the installation situation, media properties and ambient conditions. This includes not only the desired accuracy and end point calibration, but also the measuring range, measured variable, the output signal strength or the electrical and hydraulic connections. Their application defines the required standard specifications with regard to temperature resistance, shock resistance, vibration resistance and degree of protection. Modern hydraulic sensors must also be compatible and connectable with future-oriented industry 4.0 technologies and have integrated web servers or IO interfaces.

When using the sensor regularly, it is important that the measuring ranges are not exceeded. Equally abrasive to the system are unsuitable materials or materials not suitable for the conditions, incorrect electrical values, contaminated media, excess temperature, shock or vibrations.
