Hydraulic cylinder – pressure-resistant, smooth-running and designed to fit.

Hydraulikzylinder

Your experienced supplier of single-acting and double-acting hydraulic cylinders – for any industrial or mobile application.

Hydraulic cylinders or hydro cylinders transform hydraulic energy into mechanical, linear motion. Depending on the operating principle, hydraulic cylinders are distinguished into single-acting and double-acting cylinders. Irrespective of their design, hydraulic cylinders are characterized by their simple design and consistently high force transmission, while simultaneously occupying little space and consuming little volume. Because of the low clearance and the accurately fitting guidance, our hydraulic cylinders are designed for very high operating cycles and service lives (so-called servo quality).

We offer a wide range of industrial cylinders from quality-oriented brand manufacturers such as Bosch Rexroth, Heiss, AHP Merkle, Parker, Hänchen and Assfalg. This includes numerous standard cylinder versions such as synchronized cylinders, differential cylinders, plunger cylinders, block cylinders and telescopic cylinders. We are an experienced hydraulics specialist and are also able to implement special solutions and repairs for you in a very quick reaction time.

Plungerzylinder

Plunger cylinder

A plunger cylinder is a single-acting hydraulic cylinder with a piston surface, which can only deliver compressive forces in the extending direction. The design is carried out with or without internal stop or guide piston, depending on the design. Plunger cylinders are especially used in applications where the force direction permits a safe return, e.g. in upstroke presses, scissor lift tables or lifting devices. These proven hydraulic cylinders are characterized by their simple design, low acquisition costs and particularly favorable efficiency.

  • Piston diameter: up to 100 mm
  • Temperature ranges: from -25 °C to +80 °C
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 250 bar
  • Top speed: 0.5 m/s
  • Design: as tie-rod cylinder or round cylinder, with welded or bolted base
Differentialzylinder

Differential cylinder

Differential cylinders are usually double-acting hydraulic cylinders with different retracting and extending forces. The design with a one-sided piston rod results in two different effective surfaces (piston and ring surface) and two different speeds. Because of the controllable compressive and tractive forces, our differential cylinders are mainly used in mechanical engineering, steel hydraulic engineering, materials handling technology, in mobile machines or in onshore and offshore applications.

  • Piston diameter: up to 180 mm
  • Temperature ranges: from -25 °C to +80 °C
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 600 bar
  • Top speed: 2.5 m/s
  • Design: as tie-rod cylinder or round cylinder, with welded or bolted base

Synchronous cylinder

Synchronous cylinders are also part of the double-acting hydraulic cylinders. In contrast to the differential cylinders, this cylinder model has the same retraction and extension speed because it has a piston rod on both sides of the piston surface. The volume of the inflowing hydraulic oil is always the same. Due to their dense force and seawater resistance, synchronous cylinders are used in almost all industrial applications, e.g. in presses, hydroelectric power stations and marine applications as well as in conveyor technology.

Teleskopzylinder

Telescopic cylinder

Telescopic cylinders and synchronized telescopic cylinders have a shorter installation dimension in the retracted state than cylinders with a comparable stroke. Usually the retracted length of the cylinder corresponds to about 25 % to 50 % of its stroke length. Depending on the installation space, you can
choose between two-, three-, four- or five-stage versions. The single or double-acting telescopic cylinders are used, for example, in antenna construction, assembly and lifting platforms or in commercial vehicles.

  • Piston diameter: up to 1,800 mm
  • Temperature ranges: from -30 °C to +90 °C
  • Maximum operating pressure P max: up to 600 bar
  • Top speed: 2.5 m/s
  • Stroke: from 500 mm to 6,000 mm
  • Number of stages: 2- to 5-stage
  • Design: as tie-rod cylinder or round cylinder, with welded or bolted base
Structure and function

Direct force transmission, without conversion losses.

Hydraulic cylinders are made of a robust cylinder tube with a connected piston rod, the piston and the necessary seals and fastenings, which in turn must be matched to the system. Their design is influenced to a large extent by the application desired; the design of the tie-rod cylinders and round cylinders has proven its worth in hydraulics.

Hydraulic cylinders transmit forces by performing translational or linear movements. In contrast to hydraulic motors, the rotational movement is not transformed into a linear movement and the efficiency is correspondingly high. The maximum cylinder force is determined by the maximum permissible operating pressure and the effective area.

When selecting and using your hydraulic cylinder, it is important to pay attention to the following.

When selecting and using your hydraulic cylinder, it is important to pay attention to the following. In addition to good quality construction, a system-compatible hydraulic cylinder must be bend resistant and pressure resistant, comply with cylinder-specific industrial standards and certificates, and be designed for maximum operating cycles. Important selection criteria are also the available installation space, the maximum operating pressure and the temperature and media compatibility of the cylinder. Depending on the application, linear axes, spindles or hydraulic motors can be a suitable alternative to hydraulic cylinders.

It is important to note that contaminated hydraulic oil, temperature peaks, poor oil exchange, defective piston rods or incorrect sealing materials may lead to premature cylinder deterioration and reduced system performance.
