Pressure accumulator test: now easy to carry out on site without dismantling

TÜV Speicherprüfung Knoll Hydraulik

Pressure vessels must be checked for safety every ten years. Until recently, this involved a complex removal and reinstallation process.

To ensure constant performance and, above all, safety, legislation stipulates that storage tanks must be inspected every ten years at the latest. This often involves complex dismantling, testing and installation processes as well as machine downtimes.

Thanks to a new, certified testing technology that we can offer in cooperation with TÜV Thüringen, removal and test preparations are no longer necessary.

Recently, one of our trained hydraulics specialists visited a customer and successfully tested numerous accumulators in teamwork with a TÜV engineer. The patented ID-E method (Intelligent Diagnostic-Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer EMAT) is used here. This means a crack test and wall thickness measurement in a single operation. 100% of the bottle (volume test method) is recorded.

Your advantages:

  •     No test preparations required for the ZÜS test
  •     neither pressure nor nitrogen need to be released for testing
  •     No dismantling and transportation of the storage tanks to the test bench
  •     The system can remain in operation
  •     tests according to §14 BetrSichV are not required

Further details can be found in the following regulations:

  •     BetrSichV
  •     TRBS1201-2
  •     DGUV 046
